University Utara Malaysia or can be called Nothern University of Malaysia was established on 16 Fevruary 1984 under the Universiti Utara Malaysia 1984 Order (Statutory). The university was incorporated on 23rd April 1998. The university is located at Sintok, Kedah. The university was established with the specific missions of providing leadership role for management education in the country. Thus the university is also known as a management university. UUM is ranked top 701 in the recent QS World University RAnking 2015/16.


Now lets talk about the course that I take in UUM. The course that I take in UUM is Bachelor of Marketing. The common perception of marketing is that it's purely the promotional efforts that go into selling products. Back in 1935, the National Association of Marketing Teachers, a predecessor of the American Marketing Association (AMA), defined marketing as "the performance of business activities that direct the flow of goods and services from producer to consumer or user."
